Hurst Frazee Garrett letters, 1917-1919.

Letters written by Hurst Frazee Garrett of St. Louis, Missouri, while serving as a private in the17th Balloon Co., U.S. Army about his activities at Fort Omaha, Nebraska, Feb.-May 1918, and while hospitalized at Ft. Bayard, New Mexico, June-July 1918. Also included are a run of letters to his mother Isabella (Belle) Frazee Garrett in St Louis and sister Theresa A. Garrett in Chicago describing his activities while serving in the convoy section of the American Field Service in France, 1917, typescripts written by Belle Frazee Garrett about her son's experiences while hospitalized, newspaper clippings, ticket stubs, and letters written by Hurst Garrett from Colorado while waiting to be discharged from the Army in the first half of 1919.
